Preparations are afoot to hold the 20th edition of the Gulfood Exhibition 2016, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, from February 21 to 25, at the Dubai World Trade Center

Preparations are afoot to hold the 20th edition of the Gulfood Exhibition 2016, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, from February 21 to 25, at the Dubai World Trade Center with participation of more than 5,000 international companies representing 120 countries with 16 Irish food, beef and drink companies showcasing their products. Gulfood 2016 hopes to attract over 85,000 plus visitors over the course of the four days.

GULFOOD 2016 is simply the stage where many most important products and solutions tend to be put on show. Some of these are Food, Production and Food And Beverage.

The Chamber will be represented at Gulfood by Ahmad Younis, Secretary-General & CEO and Evelyn Harrington, Manager Trade Services. Younis said that Irish food is exported to over 175 markets and is worth €10.8 billion. The Agrifood sector for the Arab region grew by 21% in 2015 to €493m, representing 18% of the total exports. Younis went onto say that he was delighted to see many Irish companies participating,
